Can I try my photo for free?

Does Sketchso make the finished artwork?

Sketchso makes the outline: a starting point for your drawing or painting. The colour, shading, brushstrokes, and finished piece are yours. The preview shows you the actual lines before you pay.

What photos work best?

Sharp, well-lit photos with a clear subject are a great place to start. Look for visible eyes and facial features in portraits. Busy backgrounds may need a little cleanup; you can erase unwanted lines in the converter.

Can I print it at my artwork’s size?

Yes. Choose A4 or Letter, or enter custom artwork dimensions in the project planner. Larger guides are tiled across sheets with alignment marks and a scale check. Print at 100% actual size; your photo keeps its proportions.

Will the lines show through watercolor?

You can lighten the lines or switch to a light blue guide. How much shows through depends on your printer, paper, and paint. Test a small area first, or trace and transfer the guide onto your painting paper.

Are my photos private?

Normal outline conversion runs on your device. Optional background removal uses a cloud service. When you export while signed in, a copy of your outline is saved to your private library so you can download it again.
