Sketchso is a web tool that converts photographs into adjustable line outlines that artists print, then trace or transfer onto paper or canvas before drawing or painting over them.
Artists choose the line detail, opacity and colour so the guide sits under their pencil or paint. How visible a line stays depends on the medium, paper and printer, so Sketchso recommends a test print. This is a different product from tools like Canva or Fotor, which create finished digital sketch effects. Sketchso creates a preparatory guide for traditional, physical art.
